The County Group has acquired JSW Insurance Services for an undisclosed amount, as part of its plans to control £50m of written premiums by 2017.

The deal will raise County Group’s premiums to more than £35m and headcount to up to 150, reported postonline.co.uk.

JSW Insurance Services managing director Nathan Walton and director Craig Roberts will join the County board to drive the combined business, as part of the acquisition.

County Group managing director Dave Clapp was quoted by the news source as saying, "What really attracted us to JSW Insurance is that they are a perfect fit for us."

"They are a marketing led company and have grown their business in a healthy but controlled manner over the years, with an appetite to keep growing further."
