CosmetAssure, an elective cosmetic surgery insurance program, has received approval in the state of Maryland, expanding its availability to 43 states across the US.
CosmetAssure provides coverage to patients who may experience complications when undergoing a cosmetic procedure.
According to the CosmetAssure, the insurance product is available through board certified plastic surgeons who are members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and/or members of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
CosmetAssure co-owner of Aesthetic Surgeons’ Financial Group and founder James Grotting said this is another major step forward for the CosmetAssure program.
"With the number of board-certified plastic surgeons who perform cosmetic procedures in Maryland, we’ll now be able to provide coverage for a vast number of patients who, up to this point, have been uninsured in the event of a complication," Grotting said.
