William Elborne to develop joint strategies with Cooper Gay’s local partners in the region

Cooper Gay & Company Limited, a London-based subsidiary of the Cooper Gay Group and an independent insurance and reinsurance broker, has named William Elborne, a placing specialist to supervise the London team in developing business with clients in Europe.

His area of supervision will be on solutions for complex property risks. He will also be focussing on developing joint strategies with Cooper Gay’s local partners in the region, particularly in the German-speaking countries, France, the Netherlands and Scandinavia.

He will be reporting to Malcolm Harvey, managing director of non-marine Europe for Cooper Gay & Company Limited. William Elborne brings over 20 years’ experience in designing and placing both direct and reinsurance solutions in the global markets for clients across Europe.

He has served Aon Global, where he led the London property placing team for the EMEA region, and at Marsh, where he spent six years working in Germany.
