Conseco, the holding company for a group of insurance companies, has appointed Michael Farley as the new senior vice president of annuity and life actuary business. He reports to Ed Bonach, Conseco's CFO.
Mr Farley joins Conseco from ING Re, where he served from 2001 to 2007 as the CFO and chief insurance risk officer. From 2000 to 2001 he served as the senior vice president, chief actuary and CFO of the long term care division of Allianz Life Insurance Company. He also held the chief actuary position at LifeUSA Insurance Company and various other positions at Allianz Life Insurance Company and Federated Life Insurance Company during his 23-year insurance career.
Mr Farley earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with mathematics as minor from St John’s University in Minnesota.
Mr Bonach said: Mike is a valuable asset for our actuarial and financial management team. His experience makes him a natural fit for Conseco, and he will certainly give us an operational advantage as we move forward.
