Colonial Life & Accident Insurance has come up with a new mobile application, enabling policy holders to check claims information and policy details round the clock and at anyplace.
The application currently supports only Apple devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod, and users can quickly check on the status of their claims, view policy information and access information available to them through the company’s policyholder website, claims Colonial Life.
The insurer said that the application also has an agent locator feature to find the Colonial Life representative closest to them and can use the application to communicate with a customer service representative.
Colonial Life service operations vice president Linda Bambacus said, "The ability to check on the status of a claim at any time can reassure our customers — especially when they’re waiting to pay medical bills and other expenses from an accident or illness."
Policyholders can download the "My Colonial Life" application by visiting the Apple iTunes store and users must have Apple’s iOS 5 software to run the same and they must register on the company’s policyholder website before starting.
Colonial Life & Accident Insurance provides disability, life and supplemental accident and health insurance policies in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
