CNinsure has reported total revenues of RMB282m for the first quarter of 2010, an increase of 30.6% compared to RMB215.8m for the same quarter in 2009.

The company’s income from operations for the quarter were RMB72.7m which is an increase of 58.3% compared to RMB45.9m for the same period last year.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2010, the company posted net income of RMB67.3m, or RMB0.071 per share, compared to RMB45.5m, or RMB0.05 per share, for the same quarter in 2009.

The company expects its net income attributable to its shareholders to improve by approximately 35% for the second quarter 2010 compared to same period of 2009.

Yinan Hu, chairman and CEO of Cninsure, said: “During the first quarter, we continued to deliver strong financial performance with total net revenues up 30.6% and earnings up 47.9% which exceeded our previous guidance.
