Helps construction and manufacturing companies enhance productivity, eliminating unnecessary physical activities and movements of employees

The Risk Control unit of CNA insurance companies has implemented ‘Motion is Money program’ that helps construction and manufacturing companies enhance productivity, eliminating unnecessary physical activities and movements of employees.

Through the ‘Motion is Money program’, the participating companies can focus on observation techniques to measure job site activities like walking, bending, lifting, the storage of construction materials and the time requirements of completing such tasks.

CNA insureds have noticed a decrease in the number of work-related injuries after the implementation of these practices.

Bill Boyd, senior vice president, Risk Control of CNA, said: “Our Motion is Money program helps customers keep their employees safe and increase productivity. For instance, one construction industry leader was able to cut workplace injuries in half while significantly increasing its number of employees and (their) hours worked; thus, preventing more than 3,000 injuries over several years.”

CNA Risk Control offers a suite of services focussed on management accountability, cost drivers and developing business solutions to help customers improve their bottom-line profit.

CNA is a commercial insurance writer and a property and casualty company.
