CNA Insurance has added a free collateral warranty advice service to its professional indemnity construction customers.

The service offered in association with law firm Mills & Reeve, gives policyholders free access to a team of lawyers to ensure that new contractual relationships do not adversely affect their insurance cover.

According to the CNA Insurance, the service, which is available to all of its Professional Indemnity construction customers in the UK, provides direct access to legal expertise.

Through this service, clients can benefit from a thorough review of all relevant documentation and an hour initial telephone advice session.

The advice will be presented in ‘traffic light’ format, informing customers on how contracts may impact on existing PI cover in a clear and concise manner.

In addition, CNA policyholders are also entitled to discounts on additional legal services with Mills & Reeve, in areas such as contract negotiation, regulation, employment and M&A.

CNA Europe UK PI manager Tina Booth said CNA continually strives to help its clients improve their risk management functions. This new service boosts these capabilities as well as adding real value to the customers businesses through both cost and time savings.

“We have a strong and productive relationship with Mills & Reeve, who are also experts in this sector and we believe that this complimentary service sets us apart in the construction industry,” Booth said.
