CNA, a property and casualty insurance company, has appointed Bret Newman as director of Worldwide Operations (WWO) for its new Western Service Center in Denver, effective May 17.
In his new role, Mr Newman will lead the WWO team of 125 policy service representatives, billing and collections specialists, client specialists and customer service specialists once the service center is fully staffed.
Mr Newman has worked with CNA for 22 years, serving in roles of increasing responsibility most recently, as director in the WWO Insurance center/business solution team in Maitland.
The new Western Service Center will enable CNA to expand its service center capabilities beyond current locations in Chicago, FLorida and Pennsylvania — to the Western portion of the country to better serve its customer base. The new center is scheduled to open with full functionality by the second quarter of 2011.
Currently, CNA is recruiting for 30 of these positions for the customer support center, small business service center and middle market policy processing functions. Finally, the new service center will create approximately 300 positions within WWO, as well as claim and underwriting support operations.
