CNA, the National Program Underwriter for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Member Insurance Program has selected Clyde Takahashi Underwriting consulting director for its accountants professional liability insurance program.
Takahashi will manage CNA’s clients in California and neighboring western states, and work together with the AICPA Professional and Personal Liability Insurance Programs (PLIP) Committee, the insurer said.
CAN vice president underwriting Jeff Day said Clyde brings a profound understanding of the local marketplace.
"His professional relationships and breadth of experience will strengthen our ability to anticipate emerging needs and respond even more effectively to our customers in this region," Day added.
Having 25 years of expertise, Takahashi started his career at CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company and held numerous postions related to underwriting.
Most recently, he spearheaded underwriting at Liberty International Underwriters with a focus on the top 100 US accounting firms and a primary program underwritten by CAMICO Services.
CNA underwriting product range includes standard commercial lines, specialty lines, surety, marine and other property and casualty coverage.
