CNA Financial has completed its acquisition of outstanding shares of its member company CNA Surety for $26.55 per share in cash. CNA Surety has now became a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of CNA Financial.
On 21 April 2011, CNA Financial and CNA Surety entered into agreement providing for the acquisition of the shares of CNA Surety not already owned by CNA Financial and its subsidiaries.
On 10 June, 2011, Surety Acquisition was merged with and into CNA Surety in accordance with the merger agreement.
