Major US financial services institutions Citibank and American Express have forged a deal to offer customers a new suite of credit cards.

Under their agreement Citibank will provide its card users with five American Express branded options that will use the major card issuer’s payment system and benefit from access to the its global point-of-use network.

According to Cardratings.com, the new Citi American Express Cards will feature premium benefits and various reward programs commonly associated with Citi cards, including cash back and reward points.

The new suite of credit cards is due for release on January 15, 2006.
