Reinforces its senior management team

CIGNA International has named two new leaders of global sales and service effectiveness, for its expatriate benefits business.

Kenneth Vaughan will be responsible for developing and delivering global sales capabilities and leading the North America sales and client management organisations. Prior to joining CIGNA, Mr. Vaughan spent ten years in various sales and underwriting leadership roles with CNA and The Hartford, including positions in Los Angeles, Boston and New York.

William Atwell, president of CIGNA International, said: “Ken is ideally suited to this new role and will help us capitalize on our existing competitive strengths as well as establish and execute new sales strategies for the future.”

Thomas Philibotte will be responsible for developing a global service strategy, focusing on people, process and technology innovation and working with sales and client management to support international growth strategies.

Mr. Philibotte began his career with CIGNA in 1995. Most recently, he served as a customer service senior director on a national scale where he led an 850-person team that supported the complex needs of CIGNA’s medical claim operations.

Mr. Atwell commented: “I’m confident Tom’s extensive experience in the operations arena, coupled with his strong knowledge of CIGNA and proven leadership track record, will help enhance our service team.”
