Cigna, a healthcare and related benefits organization, has named Sue Podbielski as the new president and general manager for its healthcare operations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Ms Podbielski will be responsible for the midwest region, where she will lead sales, new business development, producer relations and product and service innovation for the area that includes approximately 700,000 medical and specialty product membership.
Prior to joining Cigna, Ms Podbielski was vice president for WellPoint and general manager for UniCare’s large group business unit. Ms Podbielski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
