Chubb Insurance Company of Canada has expanded its electronic data interchange (EDI) and eDocs download capabilities for personal insurance brokers.

These new capabilities will allow more brokers to receive Chubb insurance policy data and documents directly into their agency management system without the need for manual intervention.

The EDI capabilities, which previously were available only for the TAM broker management system, now can be used by brokers with Epic, SigXP and Power Broker systems. In addition, all brokers can now download documents from Chubb Canada using eDocs.

"At Chubb, we seek to continually improve our brokers’ experience by making it easier for them to do business with us," said Paul Johnstone, senior vice president of Chubb Canada’s Personal Insurance Division. "Sending electronic policy data and documents for all personal insurance lines will save our brokers time, money and effort."

The EDI and eDocs download capabilities meet the standards developed by the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations for transmitting data within the insurance industry.

Since 1882, members of the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies have provided property and casualty insurance products to customers around the globe.
