Chartis has unveiled Employment Edge, a new policy developed by its Executive Liability Division to address full range of employment practices liabilities including exposures arising from employee use of internet and social media.

Chartis said that the new coverage has been expanded to include a range of new exposures, from workplace bullying to violations of Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA).

The Employment Edge covers company loss from certain social media and blogging activities of employees, even if it occurs outside of the office, and provides notice of lawsuits that arise from non-reported EEOC charges.

Chartis executive liability division chief underwriting officer Robert Yellen said that the new Employment Edge responds with must-have coverage for today’s employers that mitigate exposure to employment liability risk.
