Chartis said that it is increasing its property capacity for wind and solar energy sectors to $500m through its marketing alliance between its global marine and energy division and powerguard specialty insurance services.

According to Chartis, the alliance, which was announced last year, continues to leverage both the parties’ abilities to offer the capacity and insurance solutions to meet the ongoing needs of clients within the wind and solar segments.

Rob Kuchinski, president of global energy property, a unit of Chartis’ global marine and energy division, said: “This increased capacity provides our strategic partners with the ability to help solve their risk management issues, while the marketing alliance continues to offer our clients the capacity, scope of coverage, innovative products, and global claims and engineering excellence to help them better manage their business.”

Chartis is a property-casualty and general insurance organization serving around 40 million clients in over 160 countries and jurisdictions.
