Chartis, a property-casualty and general insurance organization, has appointed Makoto Ozeki as the new executive vice president and COO of Chartis Far East Holdings. Chartis Far East region include Japan and Korea.
In his new role, Mr Ozeki will be responsible for overseeing group business operations for Chartis’ Japan insurance companies, including AIU Insurance Company Japan Branch, American Home Assurance Company Japan Branch and JI Accident & Fire Insurance Company.
Mr Ozeki joins Chartis from Zurich Insurance Company Japan, where he served as CEO. Prior to Zurich, he served in a variety of executive positions within AIG in Japan and Korea, including regional COO, CFO and COO of AIG Star Life Insurance, and chief marketing officer of AIU Insurance Company Japan Branch.
