Chartis Insurance UK has launched a new web app for two of its SME products so brokers can obtain speculative or last minute quotes on the move.
Through the new app, brokers can also email the quote to the client, and then bind the business and send the policy to the insured.
The insurer said the app are are based on its extra platform, which currently accommodates five SME insurance products – excess elite (excess casualty), private edge (D&O), PI, rapid quote and lifeline plus (PA/Travel).
According Chartis, the first products available on the app will be excess casualty and PA/Travel – products.
Chartis major & corporate accounts practice executive director Tom Doherty said the company hope that the product will enable brokers to capitalize on the immediate window to cross-sell products which meet additional client needs – and price and bind them on the spot.
"This offers a solution to the challenge often faced by brokers when it comes to capturing and retaining a client’s interest, over a protracted period, when it comes to products that may not be front of mind," Doherty said.
