Chartis, a property-casualty and general insurance firm, has announced addition of CrisisResponse coverage to aviation policies intended for airports and charter management companies.

CrisisResponse, developed by the firm’s Aerospace Insurance Services unit, will provide customers with immediate access to funds to expedite recovery in an event of catastrophic casualty loss.

Chartis US and Canada Specialty Product Line executive Jeremy Johnson said: ”With CrisisResponse, aviation executives have immediate access to tools and resources that can assist their company in successfully addressing the situation at hand.”

Using the coverage, the policyholders will be able to obtain up to $250,000 of additional policy limit for costs related to hiring of a crisis management firm for reputation risk management.

It also covers other crisis-related costs, including temporary living, travel, psychological counseling, medical and funeral expenses.
