South Carolina-based Canal Insurance, an underwriter and provider of property and casualty insurance, primarily for the commercial trucking industry, has appointed Timothy Hogan as new chief administrative officer.
Hogan has more than 25 years of progressive management experience. He has held several senior management roles at USF&G (now Travelers Insurance) and Zurich Financial Services Group.
Most recently, Hogan served as a managing director for Boyden World, an executive search firm, leading their Insurance Leadership Search practice.
Canal Insurance president and CEO David Firstenberg said Hoga will work to align and integrate Canal’s culture, operations and technology with the changing business model. Tim will lead this transformation through collaborating with the senior business leaders and by learning the business from end to end.
