BusinessFirst Insurance Company has said that it will now offer workers' compensation insurance coverage to employers in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.

BusinessFirst is backed by Midwest Employers Casualty Company, a reinsurance company and is managed by Summit Consulting, a workers’ compensation management company.

BusinessFirst has said that the workers’ compensation business submissions are also now being accepted through its independent agents in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.

BusinessFirst insures more than 2,800 Florida businesses and has $8.1m in policyholder dividends in its seven-year history.
