Brown & Brown of Oregon, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, has acquired Lumbermens Insurance and Risk Solutions in the US.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Since 1914, Lumbermens has been offering personal lines and commercial insurance services in the Oregon region.

Under the deal, Brown & Brown will include the operations of Lumbermens’ profit center located in Bend in its office location in the region.

According to Brown & Brown, Lumbermens generates net revenues of around $2m per annum.

Brown & Brown of Oregon president Jessica Getman said: "Lumbermens is synonymous with the Bend, Oregon community having provided for the personal and commercial insurance needs of this community for more than 100 years.

"We look forward to joining forces with the Lumbermens team and continuing the delivery of quality and innovative insurance solutions for our clients."

Last December, Brown & Brown acquired Smith Insurance, which provides personal lines and commercial insurance services in Connecticut and Rhode Island regions.

Through its subsidiaries, Brown & Brown provide a wide range of insurance and reinsurance products and related services, in addition to the risk management, third-party administration, and other services.
