Brown & Brown, a provider of insurance and reinsurance products and services, has acquired certain assets of Colonial Claims Corporation, Continental Claims Corporation, and Colonial Claims of Kentucky.

The three newly acquired agencies, known collectively as Colonial Claims, have combined annualized net revenues of $6.6m.

Colonial Claims, founded by James Branham, provides insurance claims adjusting and related services, including education and training services, throughout the US.

As part of the acquisition, Colonial will operate as a subsidiary of Brown & Brown from its existing locations in Lexington, Kentucky, and Dunedin, Florida, under the leadership of Branham.

The other principal at Colonial Felicia Branham will also join Brown & Brown.
