Brown & Brown’s Washington and Kentucky subsidiaries have acquired assets of Edgren Hecker & Lemmon Insurance (EHL); as well as RV America Insurance Marketing, and Let's Talk Insurance (collectively known as RV America), respectively.

Commenting on the deal, EHL principal Richard Hecker said, "This strategic move enables us to enhance our value proposition for our existing clients as well as new clients."

As per terms of the transaction, the existing management and service team will continue to serve EHL’s clients from its Poulsbo and Port Angeles, Washington offices under the leadership of Hecker.

Established in 1930s and having annual revenues of nearly $3m, EHL operates as a full-service retail insurance agency serving clients throughout Washington and other states in the US.

Following closing of transaction, RV America will trade as a branch location of Brown & Brown of Kentucky’s existing Columbia, Kentucky profit center under the management of Mike Neal.

RV America Insurance principal Steven Freedman and his team will continue to trade from their existing Simi Valley, California location.

Set up in 1999, with combined annual revenues of nearly $3.7m, RV America mainly offers personal lines property and casualty insurance products for recreational vehicles, including RVs, trailers, boats, motorcycles and other power sport vehicles.
