Brit Insurance, a general insurance and reinsurance group, has restructured its Global Markets strategic business unit's senior management team.

Brit has named Tom Rowley, currently North American property class underwriter, as the new divisional director of property, space & terrorism and Christiern Dart, currently financial property class underwriter as the new divisional director of property facilities.

In addition, the company has also appointed Andy Bowers as the new divisional Director for accident and health division to lead its personal accident and medical expenses, contingency and bloodstock classes of business.

The company said that all the three newly appointed members will continue to report to the company’s short rail portfolio director John King.

Brit Insurance Global Markets unit CEO Matthew Wilson said that Tom, Christiern and Andy have all proved to be outstanding underwriters and leaders during their time at Brit Insurance.

“As ever, we are pleased to be able to appoint such high-calibre candidates by promoting from within. This reflects the quality of our Global Markets team,” Wilson said.
