Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) today announced the appointment of Tom Kocaj as Vice President and head of Financial Institutions, Executive and Professional Lines.

"Under Tom’s leadership, we will continue to expand the products and services we bring to this sector — and provide seamless access not only to management and professional liability products, but to our portfolio of property and casualty solutions as well."

Tom comes to BHSI with a quarter century of experience in the insurance industry and expertise spanning all types of management, professional and financial institutions liability coverages. For the past 11 years, he led the financial institutions business of CNA, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Financial Institutions. Tom began his career in the corporate training program of Continental Insurance Company, which was later acquired by CNA. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University.
Tom will be based in the New York office of BHSI.
