Berkley Life Sciences, an insurance underwriting company dedicated to the life sciences industry, and member company of WR Berkley Corporation, has introduced commercial lines package, automobile and workers' compensation policies, on an admitted basis.
With the introduction of the new lines, Berkley Life Sciences now underwrites a complete array of standard admitted lines coverages in the life science industry.
Coverages offered include commercial package, inland marine, automobile, worker’s compensation and umbrella.
Berkley said that the new coverage portfolio afford agents and brokers access to specialized admitted policies while addressing the issues such as perishable property; research materials; production operations; financial exposures stemming from validation and compliance requirements.
The admitted policies will be underwritten on behalf of Berkley National Insurance and other WR Berkley member companies.
Berkley said that it will continue to offer commercial general liability, products and clinical trial liability, professional liability and commercial excess through select retail and wholesale distribution channels on a non-admitted basis.
Berkley Life Sciences president Jill Wadlund said with this expansion the company is now able to offer multi-line coverage and complementary claims and risk management services designed exclusively to address the full range of needs of life science clients.
