Beazley, a risk insurance and reinsurance company operating through Lloyds syndicates, has strengthened its US management liability team, by adding Anthony Komro, an experienced directors and officers (D&O) underwriter, into Beazley in Chicago.
According to Beazley, Komro will help build upon its established and growing presence in the mid-West, primarily underwriting public company D&O.
Komro will joins Beazley from Axis, where from 2004 he built and managed a substantial book of management liability business. His prior experience included senior roles at CNA, Gulf Insurance, and Chubb.
Beazley US management liability team head Marc London said that the company’s Specialty Lines division has built a strong local presence in the US, with more than sixty claims managers and underwriters writing a range of management and professional liability products.
"With his technical underwriting background and ample business development experience, Tony will fit right in with our disciplined underwriting and ‘straight answers’ approach to the business," London said.
Beazley is the parent company of specialist insurance businesses with operations in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia. Beazley manages five Lloyd’s syndicates.
