Beazley Group has appointed Alex Ricardo as new privacy breach response manager for its Technology, Media & Business Services (TMB) professional liability group.
In this new role, Ricardo will direct the provision of breach response services for Beazley insureds when data breaches occur, including assisting with crisis management activities.
Ricardo will also support marketing and product development for the company’s data breach insurance policy, Beazley Breach Response, and Beazley’s other information security products.
Ricardo will be based in New York, reporting to Mike Donovan, head of the TMB focus group.
Previously, Ricardo managed a data breach services team at Kroll, where he was responsible for sales management and performance and served as the group’s subject matter expert for breach preparedness, breach response and identity management solutions and services.
Donovan said Alex brings a unique combination of strengths and experience to the underwriting and claims team. His appointment increases the depth and experience of the group and exemplifies the commitment to grow Beazley Breach Response.
