Lloyd's insurer Beazley Group has appointed Chris Parker, a former managing director of Bowring Marsh Terrorism, to lead its terrorism and political violence team, effective from 11 April.

Previous to this role, Parker has worked with several European financial institutions in the development of political risk, terrorism and political violence solutions for foreign investments, power projects, construction projects and overseas import/export contracts. He also worked with the banks supporting these activities.

In addition, Beazley also hired Andrew Page into the terrorism team, effective 1 June. Formerly with Chaucer, Page has experience in war and terrorism risks and will help enhance Beazley’s underwriting service to brokers..

Beazley head of political risk and contingency Adrian Lewers said Chris has exceptional experience in this arena and will help Beazley identify new ways to help clients address these exposures.
