B&B Protector Plans, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, has expanded its Lawyer's Protector Plan (LPP) liability program, to include law firms with up to 50 attorneys effective February 1, 2011.

B&B Protector Plans administers Lawyer’s Protector Plan program in partnership with Navigators Insurance.

Since 2009, B&B Protector Plans and Navigators worked together to create a value proposition for law firms with up to 34 attorneys through the development of product offerings and service capabilities.

Established in 1983, the LPP is a provider of professional liability insurance to small law firms in the US.

B&B Protector Plans executive vice president Laura Simon said that in addition to the longevity, the LPP has a number of other key differentiators that distinguish it from other lawyers’ professional liability programs. The LPP claims department is led by attorneys devoted exclusively to handling lawyers’ professional liability claims.

Reina Gregorio, president, Professional Liability, Navigators Pro, a division of Navigators Management said that the expansion of the LPP program enables Navigators to marshal greater resources to address the specific requirements presented by law firms while further enhancing service capabilities.
