Bank of Ireland has launched a new home insurance offer called Price Match Promise.

Bank of Ireland claims that if a customer can find a cheaper quote elsewhere for home insurance, then the company will match the price. In addition, many of the standard items included under the policy at no extra charge are not included or are charged as extras by most competitors, said the bank.

Bank of Ireland’s home insurance policy offers: accidental damage as a standard feature and free of charge; loss of possessions outside the home up to E2,500 included as standard on contents; standard ‘excess’ on the policy at E100; and no charge for paying by monthly installments – other providers charge up to 24% annual percentage rate (APR) for this facility.

Finola O’Donoghue, marketing manager of Bank of Ireland insurance services, said: Our new ‘Price Match Promise’ is an unbeatable offer not only because the customer gets the best price possible for protecting one of their most important assets but also for the fantastic level of cover they receive for this price that is second to none.

The offer is available from April 1, 2008 until June 30, 2008. However, the offer will also be guaranteed for six months for any prospective customer who obtains a quotation during the offer period, the bank said.
