AXIS Global Accident & Health, a division of AXIS Capital Holdings, has appointed Dan Bolgar as new CEO of Accident & Health Reinsurance.
Bolgar brings nearly 17 years of international reinsurance industry experience to the position, and is responsible for AXIS global accident & health’s global reinsurance operations.
Prior to AXIS Global, Bolgar was an executive vice president with Willis Re in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he led its life, accident & health global practice group.
Bolgar joined Willis Re in 1994, specializing in North American and London Market Personal Accident reinsurance. During his tenure at Willis Re, Dan worked in both London and Minneapolis, developing the company’s accident and medical business, and running its accident & health unit in London.
AXIS Global Accident & Health CEO and president Chris DiSipio said Dan as an important addition to the already strong reinsurance team, and the company expect to capitalize on his international experience and excellent marketplace reputation in the years to come.
