AXA Travel Insurance, part of the AXA Assistance Group, has signed a five year contract with Ryanair, a European low-cost airline. As per the terms of the deal, AXA will offer single-trip, multi-trip and annual travel insurance for Ryanair’s passengers.
The deal is expected to come into effect from September, 2009.
Acumus Insurance Solutions, a long standing partner of Ryanair, served as broker for this transaction.
Michael Cawley, CEO of Ryanair, said: “This new partnership will mean that our passengers can access a competitively priced, tailor-made travel insurance product which suits their needs whether it is single-trip travel insurance for the family, winter sports cover or annual insurance for business travellers.”
