Mr. Maire will be reporting to Cyrille de Montgolfier, CEO of central & eastern Europe region

The AXA Group has selected Jacques Maire as chief executive officer of AXA Hungary. He will be replacing Tibor Szekeres who will retire on 1 January 2010 – reported Portfolio.hu.

According to the company, Jacques Maire will be reporting to Cyrille de Montgolfier, CEO of central & eastern Europe region (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine).

Jacques Maire had joined the AXA Group in 2002, as AXA France director of Labor Affairs. Since 2005, he was the senior vice-president of European and Public Affairs. He was appointed in 2007 as senior vice-president of BSD (business support and development) for the Mediterranean and Latin America region, in addition to his other functions.

He had served for 13 years in various French public affairs positions, notably as minister’s chief of staff and director.

AXA is a France-based insurance group engaged in life, health and other forms of insurance, as well as investment management.
