AXA Group has appointed George Stansfield as new head of group human resources in addition to his current responsibilities as group general counsel. He will also become a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Stansfield has been AXA Group general counsel since 2004 with responsibility for the group’s global legal and compliance matters.
Prior to joining AXA’s Group legal department in Paris in 1996, Stansfield practiced law for 11 years in New York City where he was a corporate attorney in the legal department of AXA Equitable specialized in merger & acquisition transactions involving financial institutions, securities law and general corporate matters.
Stansfield replaces Shu Khoo, who has decided to return to Asia after serving as head of group human resources for two years.
