AXA Equitable Life Insurance has appointed Michael Healy as new chief information officer (CIO).
Healy’s promotion to the top technology post at AXA Equitable follows Kevin Murray being named COO and CIO at AXA UK.
Healy will report to Richard Silver, senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
As CIO, Healy will be responsible for directing the company’s systems strategy and delivery, including infrastructure, application development and corporate architecture.
Prior to joining AXA Equitable in 2006, he served as a senior vice president at Marsh & McLennan, and in managerial roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Silver said Healy’s strong leadership and strategic planning skills, and strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork, has earned him the respect of IT colleagues and business partners alike.
