AXA Equitable Life Insurance has promoted Adrienne Johnson-Guider to the position of senior vice president and head of strategic initiatives group.

Ms Johnson-Guider reports to Christopher Condron, chairman and CEO of AXA Equitable, the primary US life insurance and savings subsidiary of the global AXA Group.

In the new role, Ms Johnson-Guider is responsible for leading the strategic initiatives group in creating and implementing new ideas and strategies that accelerate revenue growth and profitability of the company. The group takes on a variety of projects touching nearly every area of the company and driving performance on key metrics for AXA Equitable.

Prior to running the strategic initiatives group, Ms Johnson-Guider served as the vice president and chief of staff in the office of the CEO, driving strategic and tactical programs addressing a range of global and local issues.

Mr Condron said: Adrienne has been a trusted advisor on a range of projects, including the exportation of AXA Equitable’s highly successful Accumulator variable annuity to AXA Group’s retirement markets overseas. She is highly regarded for her in-depth understanding of AXA Equitable and the industry, talent for building partnerships across the organization, and outstanding delivery of high- performance results.
