AXA Asia Pacific Holdings has promoted Mark Stamper as the new regional chief actuary and head of regional strategic finance.

Based in Hong Kong, Mr Stamper’s new position encompasses the roles of chief actuary and chief risk officer. In this capacity, he heads up the strategic finance team which is responsible for three main areas including actuarial and risk management, corporate finance, and investment and asset liability management.

Mr Stamper joined AXA in 2005 as regional product and pricing actuary, and was promoted to regional head of products in 2006. In these positions, Mr Stamper was responsible for providing quality control and governance on product design, pricing and risk management. Prior to joining AXA, Mr Stamper was a marketing actuary for Swiss Re in London and Hong Kong.
