AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has introduced two new products, retailers insurance and offices & surgeries insurance, to provide core cover for SMEs trading online.

For flexibility each product will provide an option to pick and choose extras and has been introduced as part of the second wave delivery of its Simple product range.

With a number of flexible optional bolt-on covers, Retailers insurance provides contents, employers’ and public/products liability, business interruption, money/cash and goods in transit.

The product is intended for firms with a turnover of under £1m and up to five shops.

Offices & Surgeries insurance offers standard cover which include employers’ liability, public liability, business interruption and money/cash, and additional optional covers to companies with a turnover of up to £8m and operating from 10 locations.

AXA Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary managing director intermediary Matthew Reed said, "At the SME end of the market where there are now so many channels to purchase we’re helping brokers grow their business and remain competitive."

Based on brokers’ feedback, the company has also incorporated improvements to its existing products.
