Allied World Assurance Company Holdings (AWH) has made executive appointments in a bid to centralise its global reinsurance operations, led by Allied World Reinsurance Company president & chief operating officer John Bender.
Commenting on the new appointments, John Bender said the strategic changes will help the firm’s clients to better manage their global risk exposures.
"I am extremely confident in the abilities of Kevin, Tom and Tom. Their years of experience and industry knowledge will be a tremendous asset to the team as we continue to build out our global reinsurance platform," Bender added.
AWH has appointed Kevin Marine as executive vice president, International & Global Specialty, who will be responsible in overseeing Allied World’s reinsurance teams in Asia and Europe directly in addition to Marine, Aviation and Crop businesses management globally.
Thomas McKevitt has been appointed as Global Property CAT Manager while retaining his current role of executive vice president, Bermuda Reinsurance.
McKevitt will be responsible for property and property/cat reinsurance strategies development and execution globally and will continue to oversee the Bermuda reinsurance operations.
AWH has appointed Thomas Kelly as chief operating officer for Allied World Reinsurance Company while remaining as chief underwriting officer for Allied World’s US reinsurance operations and is responsible for all US reinsurance operations and administration.
