Aviva, a UK-based insurance company, is restructuring its insurance business to bring the life and general businesses close enough to benefit from the company’s scale, reported financial standard.

Reportedly, the life and general insurance businesses in the UK has been planned to follow a shared approach for the customers. Moreover, the company has built up a new leadership team to simplify both businesses, improve customer service.

Mark Hodges, chief executive of Aviva UK, said: This new structure will underpin Aviva’s future growth in the UK, releasing the full potential of our brand and scale as the UK’s leading insurer.

By bringing our UK businesses closer together under a single and highly experienced leadership team we can serve our customers, partners and our people more effectively and deliver profitable growth.

The life, general insurance and healthcare businesses will be based in York, Norwich and Eastleigh.
