British insurance group Aviva has appointed Jiri Schneller as new chief executive of Aviva Czech Republic.
Mr Schneller joins Aviva Czech Republic from ACE European Group where he was chief executive of the Czech Republic and Slovakia business. He was previously a senior manager at Winterthur life insurance company where he was responsible for business development and distribution of individual and group life insurance.
Andrea Moneta, chief executive of Europe at Aviva, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jiri to Aviva. He brings an exciting mix of European experience combined with a deep knowledge of the Czech Republic insurance market. I look forward to the contribution he will make to the development of our Czech business as he leads it to continued success.”
Mr Schneller said: “My main priority is to ensure that Aviva’s presence in the Czech Republic matches Aviva’s leading position in Europe. Through Aviva’s direct sales force and broker relationships we will continue to offer customers in the Czech Republic products developed and sold by Aviva throughout Europe.”
