Aviva, a provider of life and pension products, has announced that Tidjane Thiam, group executive director of Aviva Europe, has decided to resign from the company.
Mr Thiam joined Aviva in November 2002 as group strategy and development director and became responsible for Aviva’s European operations in January 2006. He was appointed to the Aviva board with effect from May 1, 2007.
In a press release regarding the change of management, the company said that an announcement concerning Mr Tidjane’s successor will be made in due course.
