Aviva, a multinational insurance company headquartered in London, is all set to shut down two regional offices and start a voluntary redundancy program throughout the regional offices.

The underwriter is implementing restructure plan to streamline its UK commercial insurance business, and the closing of the shops are linked with this strategy.

Due to the closure of two offices at Northampton and Luton, nearly 41 employees will be affected, said the underwriter.

The company said that redeployment will be offered to staff in Northampton and Luton, but redundancies will happen.

Although giving a solace to other employees, the company said that the shake-up does not affect other parts of its UK general insurance business, such as personal, motor and household.
