Property and Casualty insurance group Aviva Canada has rolled out its new national eDocs technology, which improves ease of doing business for broker partners coast-to-coast.

The technology, which can be readily deployed in brokerages across the country, has been certified by all Canadian broker management systems, including Applied Systems’ TAM and Epic, CSSI Broker Workstation, Keal Technology sigXP and Zycomp Systems’ PowerBroker.

eDocs process automatically sends electronic policy documents from Aviva to the broker’s client file in their BMS and integrates seamlessly into their workflow, leveraging the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) XML standards.

The insurer established a pilot for eDocs with the four BMS vendors and 17 brokerages in Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Quebec, in May this year.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based Aviva, the Canadian business offers home, automobile, recreational vehicle, group and business insurance to more than three million customers.
