Aviva has appointed Andy Curran as new UK life retail and partnerships director, reporting to Graham Boffey, its life distribution director.

Curran will lead Aviva’s life retail and partnership divisions, shaping and delivering the strategy for life retail customers.

He will also work closely with Ant Middle, Aviva’s UK strategic partnerships director, on the life contribution to Aviva’s key UK strategic relationships.

Curran will join Aviva from Prudential, where he has been its intermediated distribution director.

Aviva life distribution director Graham Boffey said that Curran brings a wealth of experience and deep industry knowledge. As life retail and partnerships director, his understanding of the market will complement a strong team.

Aviva has a 10.5% share of the UK life and pensions market and insures one in six homes and one in ten cars in the UK.
