FirstBest Systems, a provider of collaborative underwriting solutions for US and international carriers, announced that Atlas General Insurance Services has selected the FirstBest Front Office Suite to modernize collaboration with a diverse community of agents and brokers by providing them with both a powerful, easy-to-use agent portal and a best-in-class underwriting workstation.

A fast-growing managing general agent (MGA), Atlas provides exceptional service through unique options for policyholders. The organization features a wide range of insurance solutions, including specialty programs with multiple insurance-carrier partners.

With the modular applications of the FirstBest Front Office Suite — FirstBest UMS (Underwriting Management System), FirstBest Agent, and FirstBest AppReader — Atlas will initially implement a Workers’ Compensation program, quickly integrating FirstBest technology with its existing policy administration system for straight-through processing.

FirstBest UMS will enrich the Atlas underwriting process from submission through issuance, including post-issuance transactions for both new and renewal business.

"Atlas chose the FirstBest Front Office Suite because it is a highly configurable underwriting workstation solution with state-of-the-art system architecture. It will allow our organization to facilitate critical workflow transformations through the implementation of a modern, proficient underwriting process in a matter of months," said Ryan Clarkson, COO, Atlas General Insurance Services.

"The scope and flexibility of the FirstBest underwriting solution will help Atlas better manage our risk appetite and risk assessment practices. We can quickly launch straight-through processing for our agents to significantly improve time-to-market and achieve profitable growth."

To support key strategic initiatives, Atlas will leverage FirstBest UMS to streamline submission intake and agent collaboration, implement underwriting best practices for consistency and efficiency and insulate underwriters from legacy platform redundancies
Atlas will utilize the intuitive interface of FirstBest Agent to support consolidated data entry and agent-quoting capabilities at the point of service.

In addition, FirstBest AppReader will improve productivity and workflow speed between agents and Atlas underwriters with electronic prefill of ACORD forms during the submission process.

"We are thrilled to welcome Atlas to the FirstBest customer community," said John Belizaire, FirstBest CEO and founder.
