To create up to 56 new jobs at its customer service center
Assurant Solutions, a provider of extended service contracts and protection programs, has planned to create up to 56 new jobs at its customer service center in Albany.
The company has decided to add customer service representatives and a trainer at the Albany center as part of a consolidation of customer service resources that will support its wireless protection business.
Rebecca Spencer, director of call center operations, said that the company has selected the Albany site for this expansion because of the region’s quality workforce and the service center can accommodate a larger staff. The 41,000 square foot center first opened in May 2004.
Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, a provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products and services. Assurant Solutions businesses develop, underwrite, market and administer specialty insurance, extended service contracts and other risk management solutions through collaboration with financial institutions, retailers, automobile dealers, funeral homes, utilities and other entities.
